I never thought we'd be able to have a "summer home." What I now realize is that I had to adjust my idea of "home." Our little RV by the beach is everything I could want in a summer getaway. It's close enough to commute to work from in warmer weather, but far enough away that all of the day to day stresses melt away as soon as my car pulls off of the highway. My favorite feature of our RV is the giant rear window. In fact, it's why we purchased this particular rig. Creating a cozy sitting nook was a top priority. Listening to the waves crash into the rocks while I have my morning coffee in the sitting area of our RV is unparallelled. On rainy days I can sit and read here, and on summer evenings the windows can be wide open and the smell of the sea fills the space. With just a few updates we were able to take the standard feel of an RV and give it a little cottage by the sea feeling. Today I'm going to talk about our sitting area, because I get a lot of sourcing questions about it.
